NHTSA SAFETY RECALL NO. 22v419 (WALKBOARD RACK)

Kentucky Trailer has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in Kentucky Trailer Truck Body product equipped with a walkboard. The fasteners that serve to attach the walk board rack to the underbelly of the truck body unit can become loose (due to vibrations, damage and/or other forces) which has the potential to permit the walk board to fall off of the truck body unit. This has the potential to lead to serious injury and/or property damage.

Kentucky Trailer will remedy this defect (free of charge) by removing all applicable fasteners installed on the walk board rack assembly and replacing them with new fasteners at its Louisville, KY or Fontana, CA service facility. Alternatively, Kentucky Trailer will ship to you (or your designated service/repair facility) a kit containing the required fasteners along, with detailed technical repair instructions, so that they may complete the repair.
