Mayor Fischer’s office to honor 140 years of Kentucky Trailer in Louisville

During the Thursday morning event, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer’s office will present Kentucky Trailer with a proclamation highlighting more than 140 years of service to the Louisville community. This is the first event marking the company’s 140th anniversary, which hasn’t been celebrated publicly until now due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Founded in Louisville in 1879 as the Kentucky Wagon Manufacturing Company, the business originally produced horse-drawn wagons and went on to create flatbed trailers for the U.S. Army during World War II.

Today, Kentucky Trailer provides agile, customer-focused solutions in the specialty trailer, custom transport and mobilized business markets with facilities across the U.S. and Europe.
