Kentucky Manufacturing has been creating the finest custom vans in the transportation industry since 1936. Today, we're the industry leader in high cubic capacity moving and storage vans. When you see a drop frame moving van on the road, the chances are it's a Kentucky Trailer. We're also a leader in vans for package delivery, snack foods, and many other categories requiring additional capacity and quality. History

In 1936, the Dixie Motor Car Company was purchased by R.C. Tway Sr. and renamed the Kentucky Manufacturing Company. With the development and growth of the national highway system, Mr. Tway saw the need for a maker of top-quality trailers. We made trailers for a variety of needs, including flatbed, livestock, platform, lowboy, logging, and grain trailers.

Customized vans for the moving and storage industry was our next leap forward. In the 1960s, the name Kentucky Trailer became synonymous with moving vans. We developed "drop frame" trailer systems, which have become a staple in the moving industry. It's a market we value more than ever today-even as we have grown and diversified.

Kentucky Trailer continues to develop. In 2002, we acquired Trailer Technologies, Inc, a leading manufacturer of custom transport, exhibit, and specialty trailers located in Walled Lake, Michigan. In early 2004, the company named was changed to Kentucky Trailer Technologies.

And we continue to be specialists in high-cube vans that provide our customers with maximum payload. Ask Kentucky Trailer owners-they'll tell you they simply wouldn't pull anything else.
